Barwon Heads is a large well appointed 4 bedroom house which sleeps 8 guests (or up to 12 with separate negotiation) and is ideal for a family holiday. It is just a 4 minute walk to the award winning Camber Sands which was recently voted number 9 of the 100 Best Beaches in the World by The Sunday Times Travel Magazine.

Barwon Heads has two large double bedrooms, one with a cot and en-suite shower, the two other rooms are equipped with bunkbeds with a family bathroom upstairs. Downstairs there is a utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer and a separate WC. The house is furnished to a very high standard. There are two reception rooms, the lounge has an open fire place, 3 sofas and two armchairs, the dining room has a large family table to accommodate those extended mealtimes and has French doors which open on to the garden. The kitchen is spacious and bright with microwave, dishwasher, fridge & freezer. It also opens directly on to the garden. The garden is large and in two sections, the French doors open on to a decked area to soak up the morning sun, there are two large grassed areas to allow the children space to continue matches of beach cricket and football until the sun goes down.

Camber and its environs provide a wealth of activities, not least the beach with it’s 2 & 1/2 miles of golden sands, great for walking, cricket, football, kite flying and surfing or simply to enjoy the sands and the wonderful dunes. The beach has been awarded a yellow flag by MCS, the highest UK award for water quality standards. Watersports are available at the Rye Windsurfing Lake with windsurfing, dinghy sailing, canoeing. Golf Courses of the highest caliber are available at Rye Golf Club (Old Course and Jubillee by arrangement with the Secretary or by invitation of a member only). Other courses include Littlestone and Lydd a few miles away. Rye, itself , with its mixture of eclectic shops and restaurants is an ideal place to wander around and soak up history. It is easily reached by Car or by bike along the old railway track which provides a safe route even for the youngest of bikers. If you have had enough of cooking then the award winning restaurant, The Place, is but a 100 yards away. It presents a fine menu full of local produce and is very family friendly. Enjoy the stay.
